    Financial assistance for renting

Foreign students who rent accommodation are entitled to financial assistance as all French

students do. This financial assistance is called APL (« aide personnalisée au logement »).

Our staff can help you fill the application form. Depending on their status and income, flatmates can receive financial assistance on the condition that their name appears on the lease.

French law requires that anyone renting a room or a flat in France is to be covered by housing insurance. If you have difficulties in filling the forms properly, and you wish to find someone who can answer the questions you may have, our staff works in close relationship with social workers from the Cllaj (“Comité local au logement autonome pour les jeunes”). They assist students with any housing issues. They will take into consideration your personal requirements, interests and budget.

No guarantor? Not a problem any longer!

The owner of the flat you want to rent demands you a guarantor or does not accept a guarantor from your country, don’t worry! The Midi Pyrénées region can offer you to be your guarantor, on condition that you are a student in the Midi Pyrénées region.
